100 Thousand Poets for Change - 2nd Reading

100 Thousand Poets for Change is an international demonstration/celebration of poetry to promote serious social, environmental, and political change. Sacramento is celebrating with two poetry reading events. The second reading is hosted by Bob Stanley and Rebecca Moos and features a performance by Capoiera Agua de Beber at 5:30pm.
There will be open mics at both locations plus readings by Mario Ellis Hill, Bob Stanley, John Allen Cann, Allegra Silberstein, Alexa Mergen, Sean King, Lawrence Dinkins, Mariam Ahmed, Trina Drotar, Susan Kelly-DeWitt, Emily Wright, Tim Kahl, Frances Kakugawa, Sandy Thomas, Rebecca Moos, Bill Gainer, Abe Sass.
The events are organized by Sacramento Poetry Center and the Poet Laureate Program of the Sacramento Metropolitan Arts Commission.
The first reading takes place earlier in the afternoon at the Capitol Park Rose Garden.
