Make Someone’s Holiday Unique (or Bizarre)
Finish your holiday shopping early this year and enjoy the rest of the season. The Makers Mart is a curated collection of the Sacramento area’s best handmade vendors, which provides you with the opportunity to find the perfect unique gift for anyone on your list. Did we mentioned there’s tacos and cocktails to enjoy as you take in all the SAC-MADE splendor?
Additionally, Identity Coffees will be hosting their final Midtown Bizarre this 2nd Saturday. More maker goods will be available at this pop-up shop featuring trendy items from local creatives.
Shop ‘Til You Slip
If you need a different selection of stuff to round out your list, the Downtown Sacramento Ice Rink is hosting a Holiday Shoppe featuring everything from Identity Boutique’s clothing to Oblivion Comics & Coffee’s geeky goods. Of course, this is also as good a time as any to enjoy skating the rink itself and the live holiday music across the street at DOCO in the evening.
…Or ‘Til You Sip
There’s no purer form of holiday cheer than dogs and beer! The Sacramento SPCA is leading a dog-friendly tour of Sacramento breweries featuring food and drink specials, photos with Santa Paws, and holiday activity stations at each pup crawl stop.
Haha and Humbug
For some relaxing entertainment, sit back and prepare to laugh at the re-imagining of the holiday classic, A Christmas Carol, by B Street Theatre. The familiar characters are all present as Scrooge decides he’s tired of his yearly redemption and attempts to break the cycle.
You don’t have to go very far from The Sofia to find a bite or an incredible beverage, Tea Bar & Fusion Café offers incredible tea and fruit fusions — such as “sparkle” (think lemonade) and “freeze” (think slushies) – and everything from snacks to wraps to munch on.
