Benefitting children and teens: Rancho Cordova’s 10th annual Christmas in Cordova event returns December 19, 2020! RCPD’s Youth Services Unit will support 350 families in need this holiday season by providing Christmas gifts in a drive-through format. You can support this event and make holiday wishes come true by donating a new unwrapped toy, gift wrapping paper, or by making a monetary donation. Benefitting local families and individuals in need:Rancho Cordova Food Locker will be accepting donations of non-perishable food items for their holiday food baskets. Benefitting our region’s homeless: Barnette’s Blankets will be accepting donations of new unused blankets that will be distributed over the holidays to the homeless. Cris and J.J. have been doing this drive for 11 years and as the need continues to grow, so does the generosity of all those who continue to donate. Benefitting seniors and veterans with four legged friends: Whisker Warriors will be accepting donations of unopened bags or cans of dog and cat food to distribute to low income seniors and veterans in our community. Whisker Warriors Animal Defense Fund has been serving the community since 2015. We administer a dog and cat free spay/neuter program for the city and control the population of stray cats.
