It’s suggested that you use medium-weight art paper, like mixed media paper, or 20lb printer paper cut into 4″X 4″ squares. You can also purchase pre-cut artist tiles from Amazon, Blick or Jerry’s Artarama. Blending stubs help you blend/smooth out pencil shading and really help create stunning visual effects. You can buy yours at Amazon, Blick or Jerry’s Artarama.
Lee Miller is a retired techie living in South Sacramento with her husband and 2 dogs, Zak and Asha. Lee discovered Zentangle in 2013 by accident while searching for ideas on how to draw for an art project and soon became addicted to the art form. While on sabbatical, she decided to become a Certified Zentangle Teacher. Her favorite part of teaching Zentangle is the interaction between the students and watching those that came into the class stating they do not know how to draw become confident.
