Kanika Marshall is the featured artist at the 2009 Sojourner Truth Multicultural Art Museum, room 125. She will exhibit 30 sculptures in their gallery. Please bring your whole family to the free event on September 26th. There are fun art projects for kids, music, dance, art vendors, food vendors, health presentations and the phenomenal historical murals on the walls of the center.

The Sojourner Truth Multicultural Art Museum celebrated its first annual Sojo Community Fine Arts festival in 2003. For 6 years, this festival has increased community awareness of historical and cultural values of visual art through cultural programs, entertainment, art and food, Sojourner Truth Multicultural Art museums goal is to engage, cultivate and educate diverse audiences about the arts. The event also enhances the community's knowledge of art in a fun and positive environment. People of diverse ages and backgrounds' attending the event offers an excellent vehicle for leading businesses to showcase their support for the South Sacramento community and the Arts.
