A vibrant and eclectic mix of Midtown's most popular establishments concentrated in two square blocks! Summary of Events Santa's Toy Shoppe, 1st Annual Sacramento Festival of Lights Parade, Midtown Ice Skating Rink, Carolers, Chestnut roaster, Loads of local musicians at mutiple outdoor venues, Fabulous decorations & Enough food and shopping for everyone - 25 mostly independent or locally owned businesses.
And on any day of the week, The Handle is a great place to go before or after skating! Live Music Saturday nights, 12/5, 12/12, 12/19
Jolly festivities to help everyone get into the spirit and celebrate the season with family or loved ones: a chestnut roaster; carolers; balloon artist & other local musicians. Carolers and other live musiciians will be all around the Handle District in free outdoor venues.
Parking: Convenient Ice Rink parking available at:
All day, every day: $5 at 1161 20th Street Garage (enter on 20th between K and L St);
Evenings after 5pm and weekends: $2 at 17th Street East End Garage (enter on 17th between Capitol Ave and L St)
Evenings after 5pm and weekends: Parking lots at 2220 J Street, 2220 J Street, 1815 K Street
Valet parking available at the Toy Shoppe 1801 L Street.
Valet parking at the rink available selected dates and times.
The city is also offering free on-stree parking for the holidays: Weekdays after 4:30 p.m. and all day on Saturdays and Sundays starting 11/27/09 to 12/25/09 Where: I Street to L Street & Front to 29th
