Get a glimpse of some of Sutter's Fort's most precious artifacts and family keepsakes such as dearly loved children's toys, a precious wedding gown, early family portraits and personal letters (that originally arrived in Sacramento in covered wagons).
They'll all be on special display at Sutter’s Fort State Historic Park during an evening reception of “Family Treasures: The Collections of the Fort”. Hosted by the Friends of Sutter’s Fort, historians will be on hand to share the tales of these esteemed treasures. This one night only event will benefit the interpretive programs at Sutter's Fort, which are enjoyed by thousands of visitors each year.
