History of the Railroad Tour
August 7, 2010
Add Review/Comment
The Gold Rush brought forth unimaginable wealth from the mines of California and the Sierra Nevada while the Transcontinental Railroad made western migration and expansion possible on a scale not seen since ancient times. Come hear tales of the backbreaking labor, unending danger, and vast wealth that bound our young nation ‘from sea to shining sea.'
Held under the auspices of the City of Sacramento Division of History & Science, the Old City Cemetery Committee, Inc. presents this tour as a public service. Tours are free though donations for the restoration of the cemetery are greatly needed and appreciated.
