Hailing from Loomis, CA, the alternative rock band The Young Vintage was formed in 2009 after songwriter/guitarist Michael Gompers ran into drummer Alex Golling, an old friend, after a two year stay in Germany. Alex and Michael soon realized how similar their music tastes were and how much they wanted to create music of their own to spread around the world like some sort of horribly infectious disease. They soon met up with bassist Scott McIntosh and multi-instrumentalist Clayton Schmoekel who added understated rockin' bass and everything we need, respectively. Thus, The Young Vintage was formed.
