Grassroots Working Group Fundraiser at Rubicon
January 12, 2011
Rubicon Brewing Company will hold one of its “501(c) Wednesdays.” This weekly event was created by Rubicon’s Glynn Phillips to benefit local 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations by donating a portion of the day’s profits. This week's Wednesday will benefit the Grassroots Working Group. The Grassroots Working Group was formed in response to devastating budget reductions and possible dismantling of the Sacramento County Regional Parks & Open Space System by the County Board of Supervisors. The Group’s goal is to secure adequate, stable, long-term funding for operations, maintenance, and expansion of our regional park facilities and open space.
For 23 years, the Rubicon Brewing Company has been a jewel of capital city culture. It’s not just because of the award-winning fine ales and great food served up by the Rubicon. Within the past four years, thanks to owner Glynn Phillips, the Rubicon has become renowned for its community outreach and philanthropic efforts.
Grassroots Working Group volunteers will be on hand at Rubicon during this all-day event to answer questions about the organizations and options being studied.
