Extraordinary Things: Through the Eyes of Anne Frank
April 30-June 5, 2011
Add Review/Comment
A young girl’s view of the world cannot be shaken…even by its cruelest acts. A drama of life, love and courage for children ages 7 and older. This unique and profound coming-of-age story offers an intimate perspective of the extreme conditions millions of Jews faced in Nazi occupied Europe during World War II. The audience joins Anne Frank in hiding, guided by her diary entries, from an attic in Amsterdam alongside her family and four others. We watch as she deals with the everyday complexities of a girl becoming a woman, the unusual setting in which this change is taking place including a lack of space and privacy and several larger-than-life roommates, all set against the enormity of war.
Extraordinary Things: Through the Eye of Anne Frank is written by Dana Friedman and will feature Stephanie Altholz as Anne Frank. This is the fourth and final show of B Street’s 2010-11 Family Series.
