Live music is something to celebrate! The Sacramento Traditional Jazz Society's monthly 2nd Sunday gatherings are great parties: they hire a special guest artist or well-known band to entertain guests as they gather to socialize, dance, or just hang out and listen to some great live music. The guest artists for August are four instructors from STJS's Jazz Camp: Bria Skonberk, trumpet/vocals, from New York, NY; Terry Myers, reeds, from Orlando, FL; Greg Varlotta, trumpet, trombone, tap, from Phoenix, AZ; Curtist Brengle, piano, Los Angeles, CA. Also, from 11:30am-2pm, youth bands from STJS Jazz Camp will be featured on Main Stage. There's a full-service bar and friendly servers.

You'll find three rooms playing live music simultaneously! Guest musicians play on the Main Stage, "Gold Card Musicians" play in the Gold Card Room, and then there are the jam sessions that take place for everyone in the Tailgate Room. (Students can find mentors in the Tailgate Room.) Once a month, a local youth band is featured on the Main Stage at Noon (Set 1), and again in the Tailgate Room. (Five sets x 3 rooms = a lotta music!).
