7th Annual Capital Artists' Studio Tour (CAST)
September 8 - September 16, 2012
It’s that time of year again! Artists open their studios to the public through the Capital Artists’ Studio Tour (CAST). The Center for Contemporary Art, Sacramento is proud to sponsor and present the 7th anniversary of CAST, bringing a bigger and better tour with lots of new benefits for the artists. CAST is intended to showcase Sacramento’s wealth of regional contemporary artists, many of whom are recognized internationally or nationally and all of whom are recognized regionally.
The tour provides the public the opportunity to interact with the artists in their workspaces, to see where they create, and to learn about the artists’ processes. It also promotes the quality and diversity of Sacramento’s art community and Sacramento’s talent. So come on out to enjoy or come out and participate!
CAST is expanding to two weekends this year! The first weekend focuses on West Studios (includes studios located generally West and South of I-80: Downtown, Midtown, Land Park, and West Sacramento) and the second weekend focuses on East Studios (includes studios located generally East and North of I-80: East Sacramento, Arden, Tahoe Park, Carmichael, and Fair Oaks).
