Last week, I partook in Local Roots Food Tours’ Origins of Sacramento Food Tour as the annual Team Building Day activity for the SCVB.

Our guide, Bethany, led us through Midtown, stopping at spots to point out history along the way. Did you know John Sutter died a poor man? Did you know the building that currently holds Biba was originally one of Sacramento’s earliest breweries? It wasn’t just food we learned about on this trip!

But, learn about food we did as well. With six stops on the tour, our bellies were full as well as our minds. Chefs and employees at each location came and spoke to us about the process and origin of their delicious creations. Collapse
