    The Sacramento World Music and Dance Festival (SWMDF) celebrates the music, dance, cuisine, and crafts of the diverse Sacramento region. The mission is to showcase the cultural diversity of the Sacramento region through the presentation of an ethnic dance festival for all ages, providing an educational and entertaining experience.

    The festival is led by an energetic and innovative group of business professionals and volunteers who are dedicated to fulfilling SWMDF’s mission statement by setting high performance standards and expectations, achieving goals, and integrating SWMDF board’s vision with the community by creating and maintaining productive partnerships with the public and private sector.

    The Sacramento World Music & Dance Festival includes dance showcases, global village, children's area, vendor areas, and more.
