The mission is to inspire through educating tens of thousands of school children; sharing California's rich art, history, and cultural legacy with world visitors through dynamic exhibits; and serving as a public forum and international meeting place.

Parking Info
On weekends and state holidays, free parking is available directly across the street from the Museum at 10th and O Streets. Look for the Museum Parking signs. On-street parking is free on Sundays.
Parking garages (open Mon-Fri) located at: 10th Street between P and O Streets; 10th Street between L and K Streets; 11th Street between O and P Streets; 14th and P Streets.
A limited amount of one-hour, two-hour, and ten-hour metered parking is available on the streets.
