Shakti Women's Symposium

Shakti is a non-profit community for the women by the women. The objective behind this event is to celebrate and recognize women in the Indian community who are entrepreneurs, artists, social workers, or have been leaders in other areas. Shakti is a platform for women to come together and share their experiences related to their struggles, their achievements, their strengths, and their talents. The goal of Shakti is to inspire, motivate and support each other. There will be a panel interview of some of the notable women in the community followed by group discussions about future goals for women in the ever-changing world. This event will also provide opportunity to business women in the community to advertise their business or promote their cause. There would be interactive games focused on increasing self-esteem and fostering team work.

Schedule:
-9am-9:30am: Snacks and tea
-9:30am-9:45am: Event Opener and Poem Recital by Ramna Sharma (“Gritty Girl”)
-9:45am-10:45am: Panel Interview
-10:45am-11:15am: Open mic — briefly introduce your business or cause
-11:15am-12:30pm: Group activities and fun games
