Ascension: Art by Jesse Reno

Jesse is a self taught mixed media artist who lives and has his studio and gallery in his hometown of Portland, Oregon. Jesse has been working diligently the last 12 years on his art and has painted over 4000 paintings. As an artist, he is very successful in managing his own career with no management or business background. Jesse teaches classes in several countries including the US, Canada, Australia and Mexico. He has sold 90% of everything he has produced, and he has shown in over 100 different galleries.

Jesse is an intuitive artist whose perception of the shapes, figures, colors and sounds around him are not lost. He is constantly aware and lets his intention and his imagination guide his ideas when working out new works. He has never planed or conceptualized a painting before starting a new work. It is a process of trial and error, constantly changing directions, and a persistence of ideas that leads him to his final works.
