Cyanotye Prints

Cyanotype is one of the few non-silver techniques used to make photographic images. The cyanotype was invented in the 1840s by English scientist and astronomer Sir John Herschel and it was Anne Atkin who brought it to its notoriety. In this workshop, participants will learn the basic principles and chemistry of cyanotypes. The class will also cover substrates, exposure and the possibilities of this historic process.
