City of Sacramento staff are inviting people to participate in the “Great Sacramento Clean-Up,” a citywide event to clean litter from community locations and waterways.
The event takes place at nine locations on Earth Day, April 23 and is open to individuals or groups.
People can sign up to participate by clicking on the events below, which will be coordinated through HandOn Sacramento. Most of the events take place from 9 to 11 a.m.

Volunteers should wear sunscreen and appropriate work clothing, as well as bring their own water and snacks. Tools to clean litter will be provided.
Sacramento Regional Transit will be offering free bus and light rail rides the day of the event.

-Hagginwood Park
-Elvas Avenue / 65th Street
-Sutter’s Landing Regional Park
-Morrison Creek at Logan Street
-Sacramento River Levee at Miller Regional Park
-Sacramento River Levee at the Prominade
-Matsui Park and Sacramento River Levee at Matsui Park
-Sacramento River Parkway
