Jewelry Making Class

This class will be a basic intro into the methods and techniques of lost wax casting. Lost wax is how most of the jewelry you see in stores is made. Basically you make a wax original, put it into a mold, then burn out the wax and pour in your metal. There are a few other steps along the way which will be covered in this class. The goal for this session will be to create an original pendant design using sheet wax and soft wax.

Feel free to research any designs or ideas you might have before you come to class. Lost wax is a very versatile method so let your imagination run wild.
