The University Union UNIQUE Programs and The WELL at Sac State are proud to present “Lessons from the River Mindfulness”, a mindfulness workshop on Zoom.
At the virtual event, Chadwick J. Johnson will explain the concept and benefits of mindfulness and guide you through meditation, reflection, and silent exercises to help reduce stress. As noted on his website: “Mindfulness can be described as an abiding and detached, present-moment awareness of one’s own thoughts and emotions. Those who practice mindfulness cultivate a habitual, inward, attentiveness that awakens them to their true nature.”
Chadwick J. Johnson is a Sacramento-based attorney and founder of the Mindful Injury Law firm, offering mindful counsel, legal advice and representation. Johnson graduated from Sac State on a football scholarship in the late 90’s, where he was also an active member of the Kappa Alpha Psi fraternity. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Sac State and his Juris Doctorate degree from McGeorge university. Chadwick worked as a volunteer with Volunteers of America from 2010-2014 as a mindfulness coach at the Mather Community Campus. He has volunteered hundreds of hours at drug and alcohol rehabilitation facilities, college campuses, online communities, and many other venues throughout Northern California. Chadwick has also written several articles and blogs on mindfulness, provided keynote speeches, and given multiple interviews on the topic.
