Live Music and Swing Dancing

You’ve danced to the sounds of Parker Weis’ honkin’ sax and sweet clarinet many times with bands like Crescent Katz and the West End Stompers. You’ve probably also seen him on stage talking about swingin’ tunes with our DJs. His own band’s debut back in December was so much fun we had to have him back. So Parker and the Weis Guy are hitting the stage again!

This week is also the start of the Series Classes and they look amazing. They’re keeping the Lindy Hop three class with Kelli Wilkerson and Harrison Furmidge. This month the class will focus on Charleston. Also, there will be a Lindy Hop one class and it’s being taught by Pat Chan and the fabulous Drea Waybright. The Lindy Hop two class with Amber Kaufman and Lou Saelee will help you dance faster.

Never been swing dancing before? Do you have two left feet? Do you think you lack rhythm? That’s no problem at all. They’ll teach you the steps you need to know to have a good time. It’s even included in the cost of admission.

No partner? No problem. Classes are social and rotate partners and you’ll meet a ton of cool, new people. Do you have a partner and only want to dance with them? That’s cool too. When the class rotates just stay with your favorite person.
