Martin Luther King Jr Essay Contest

In the month of January we honor the memory of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. We recognize and celebrate his legacy – leading the fight for equality and justice for all people. As a precursor to this year’s 20th Annual Juneteenth Festival, Sacramento Juneteenth, Inc will host its MLK Essay Contest for middle and high school students. The contest is open to all middle and high school students.

Students must submit their essays on one of the two topics via email by January 16th at 5:00 p.m. The top 20 essays will be selected for the contest. All selected students must attend the January 19th event. Two winners from each category will receive cash prizes and trophies. All participants will receive a cash prize!
