Musical Masterpieces Concert

For the first concert of the season, the Sacramento Youth Symphony’s Premier Orchestra will perform: Musical Masterpieces. The program will open with the vibrant Meistersingers Overture by Wagner. Also on the program will be the incredibly powerful Symphony #5 by Shostakovich, written under great duress during the Soviet Stalin regime. Finally, featured violinists William Barbini and Kineko Okamura will join to perform the well-loved Concerto for 2 Violins by Bach.
