Name the Sacramento Docks: River Crossing: I Want To Communicate With You

River Crossing: I want to communicate with you is a mass participation event where The City of Sacramento, City of West Sacramento and British artist Joshua Sofaer invite members of the public to nominate someone meaningful to them (with a focus on ordinary citizens that have made an impact on their friends and family) to become the name of the public dock in their city.

The project asks residents to nominate people they would like to have commemorated. A panel of judges will select two names in August, one will become the new name of a dock in Sacramento and the other of a dock to be built in West Sacramento.

Submissions are open from May 25 to July 10 here. After the nomination period closes on July 10, a panel of judges will select two names from the submitted nominations.
