The Nextdoor 100 Block Party

The Nextdoor 100 is a celebration of the super amazing supportive, surprising, creative, compassionate, never-not-there-when-you-need them neighbors across America. From the local grocer that’s open 365 days a year to the friend that’s always at the ready with a meal or a ride, this ‘for neighbors, by neighbors’ award program invites everyone to nominate the meaningful people and local businesses in everyone’s lives.

Everyone is invited to this free event, which features the flavors and personalities of Sacramento such as local vendors, food, entertainment, music, special guests from the community and much more.

A sampling of the fun activations includes live music by Ryan Hernandez and Friends (performing an eclectic mix of songs from eras spanning 40 years) and The Gold Souls (playing funk, soul, and blues) plus hands-on children’s activities such as face painting, balloon artistry, and more. Community members hungry for food and shopping can explore food and retail vendors such as Ecojoyous, The Kebab Guys, Kouklas Children’s Clothing & Accessories, Lumpia Ko – Eats and Boba, Mak & Grille, NorCal Kettle Corn, Pawpa Flavor, Rural Roots, Steady Smokin’ BBQ, and Uncle Johny’s Wood Fired Pizza.

While not required, RSVPs for The Nextdoor 100 Block Party are appreciated via Eventbrite. Approximately 46,000 neighbor nominations were submitted across the country and after the local event, The Nextdoor 100 honorees will be officially unveiled on May 23, 2022. To date, more than 550 neighbor nominations have been submitted throughout the Greater Sacramento region. Nominations are open until May 8th, and the Nextdoor 100 honorees will be unveiled on May 23rd.

Note: Event will take place outdoors in front of the Midtown Art Retail Restaurant Scene Building (MARRS Building), between J and K Streets.
