Northgate Community Paint Day

Join in the celebration of Northgate by adding your brushstrokes to a new Community Mural. No art experience necessary. All supplies provided and all ages welcomed!

This family friendly event will have food trucks, including Tacos La Piedad, a free raffle, and music. Enjoy a digital art session with Matthew Goodwin Scholarship Fund and Common Ground Church.

The mural was designed by Beth Rubel, with assistants Liliana Rodriguez, in partnership with Gardenland Neighborhood Association, Natomas Garden and Art Club, South Natomas Unified, Councilmember Jeff Harris’ office and residents of the Gardenland area.

Community Murals Sacramento is a new program sponsored by the The Sacramento Office of Arts + Culture. The office, in partnership with your fellow community members, has commissioned local artists to create a community-based mural for the exterior wall of S’n’P Market.

A community mural project allows an artist to collaborate with a community to achieve a result neither the artist nor the community could have achieved on their own.
