Paint the Plaza Pink DOCO Al Fresco Experience

DOCO (Downtown Commons), the Sacramento Kings and Golden 1 Center will Paint the Plaza Pink on Saturday, October 17, during Breast Cancer Awareness Month, to raise awareness and show support for the American Cancer Society’s local “Making Strides Sacramento” effort. The community is invited to a special dining experience that evening with live music, pink-inspired DOCO Al Fresco food and drink specials, an opportunity for day-of donors to win a $500 prize package (that includes an overnight stay at the Kimpton Sawyer along with other DOCO merchant gift cards), and more.\

As an event highlight, Golden 1 Center will glow pink beginning at dusk. To help raise funds for the important cause, interested community members are invited to make a $10 donation for a personalized pink luminary bag that they can decorate on-site.

A portion of the “DOCO Al Fresco” proceeds from October 17 will be donated to “Making Strides Sacramento” to help in the fight against breast cancer. A sampling of the “DOCO Al Fresco” food and drink specialty menu items available that day include a Homemade Pink Strawberry Ice Cream Pint from Local Eats, a Tahoe Blue Vodka Pink Lemonade drink special from Tahoe Blue Ridge Bar, and more. While walk-ins are welcome, advance reservations for “DOCO Al Fresco” are encouraged and can be made online at DOCOSacramento.com/AlFresco.

An outdoor shopping, dining, and entertainment destination in the heart downtown Sacramento, DOCO remains open with safety modifications in place. Convenient parking is available in DOCO’s central garage with an entrance on J Street between 4th & 5th Streets. The elevators and escalators take guests up to the plaza’s main level and terrace near many of the restaurants, eateries, and retail tenants.
