Pareidolia

The University Union Gallery at Sacramento State is delighted to announce its upcoming exhibition, “The Seen Iranian Woman”, a unique collaborative exhibit curated by Jaleh Naasz, MFA, featuring artwork from Sac State students, Iranian artists, poets, designers, and donated garments from alumni. This exhibition will shed light on the changing landscape of Iranian women\’s fashion, history, and the struggle for human rights, inviting the community to engage with this important conversation.

The University Union Gallery is excited to present a new collection of artwork, “Pareidolia,” by artist Shaun Burner, a Sacramento native known mostly for his stunning murals and involvement throughout the community. Pareidolia is defined as the tendency to perceive a specific, often meaningful image in a random or ambiguous visual pattern. This exhibit showcases the concept with images of faces mixed into Burner’s abstract artwork.

Free parking is available on the top floor of Parking Structure 3 from 5 pm to 10 pm on the night of the reception.
