Sacramento Poetry Center's art gallery presents "Passing Through" by Carole Forest. Attendees are welcome to gather, view art, meet the artist, and enjoy some refreshments.
There will be opportunities for casual ekphrastic writing (writing in response to the art) with a prompt provided. It will be fun for all writing levels. Then, the artist will share a few poems. Writers are welcome to share at open mic any writing inspired by the art and/or theme. Write a poem there, or bring one to read.
