Pozole Dinner Fundraiser

NorCal Resist invites you to its Second Annual Pozole Dinner Fundraiser! This event is an opportunity to build and strengthen community relationships, honor volunteers and raise funds to support NorCal Resist’s free community programs, including the support network for asylum seeking families and individuals.

Dinner includes pozole (vegan, chicken, or pork), chips and salsa, no host bar, and dessert. The event will feature speakers, music, awards, and raffle prizes.

Most importantly, it is an opportunity to break bread with amazing allies in the community — allies like you! Proceeds raised will go towards the vital work we are doing, including trainings, deportation defense, accompaniment, and brake light and home fix-it assistance.

NorCal Resist is a grassroots organization that has been on the front lines of providing direct assistance to migrants both here in the greater Sacramento area, and at the border. They ensure that these families and individuals have the necessary support they need to thrive in their new home. NorCal Resit provides: groceries, clothing, beds, cleaning supplies, dishes, linens and other household items; funding for legal assistance and work permit applications; rent assistance for LGBTQ+ asylum seekers; toys and school supplies for asylum seeking children; and their accompaniment provide countless rides to immigration court, ICE, doctors, schools, and other appointments.
