Renaissance Society Webinar featuring Shirley Weber

The Renaissance Society of Sac State provides opportunities for participatory lifelong learning and community engagement for older adults. They offer seminars, a speaker series, field trips, and more on a wide variety of subjects proposed and presented by members.

They will offer an online presentation with the following speaker that is open to the public (all ages welcome).

Dr. Shirley Weber, California’s first African American Secretary of State, will speak about her efforts to create the first statewide reparations task force (CA-AB3121).  Dr. Weber will be accompanied by her Chief of Archives, Tamara Martin, and Deputy Secretary of State for Voter Education and Outreach, Jannell Jackson. Together they will be able to field questions about reparations, history, and elections.
