SMASHED

Uptown Studios will be premiering SMASHED to the local audience. The event includes a panel of SMASHED female filmmakers from Sacramento and LA who will discuss the process, how to find opportunities to advance your filmmaking career, and how others can get their work recognized, followed by a performance by gold-record artist Beca singing her single OMG Baby from the film SMASHED.

SMASHED was created by 95% women and women-identifying cast and crew. It was the most inclusive and diverse set anybody had ever worked on. The camera crew called themselves the Queer Crew. This group included transgender, non-binary, heterosexual, and LGBTQ+. The rest of the cast and crew were equally diverse, coming from all over the world and walks of life. And drag queen Kim Chi even starred in the film.
