The Mousetrap

This popular murder mystery opens at American River College Theatre for a two week run. Director Janis Stevens, known locally for her work at Capitol Stage, Sacramento Theatre Company, Black Point Theatre, and more, has brought Christie’s characters to the stage with her strong cast of student and community actors.

The story takes place in 1950s London when a group of seven strangers find themselves snowed in at a stately guesthouse in the country. When a police sergeant arrives, the guests discover that a killer is in their midst! One by one, the suspicious characters reveal their sordid pasts. Somehow they must determine which one is the murderer… before they, too, get caught by the killer like a mouse in a snapping trap. Come see the murder mystery known for being the longest running play in the world — but once you leave, don’t you dare tell whodunnit!

Masks and vaccinations are recommended but not required. Parking is free (in non-staff spaces) next to the theatre at the corner of College Oak and Myrtle.
