Theatre of Lights presented by Dignity Health

If it’s holiday memories you’re after, come find it at the Old Sacramento Waterfront! The annual Theatre of Lights presented by Dignity Health is an electrifying and family-friendly and free holiday tradition. Discover the sounds of the fires, floods, and revelry that befell the historic district in the 1850s as 150-year-old building facades light up with color on K Street between Front and 2nd Streets.

The highlight of the 20-minute production is a live dramatization of “‘Twas the Night Before Christmas,” on the balconies above K Street, complete with a special appearance by Jack Frost. Performances run November 24 through December 24 with one show at 6 pm following the Holiday Tree Lighting on November 24 followed by two 20-minute performances Thursdays through Sundays at 6 pm and 7:30 pm with the exception of Thanksgiving Day (November 25), when no performances are scheduled, and Christmas Eve (December 24) with only one performance at 6 pm.

Conceived and created by Stage Nine Exhibitions’ Troy Carlson, Theatre of Lights brings together some of California’s finest talents in the field of light and sound, including Emmy-nominated voice actor Bill Farmer, the voice of Disney’s Goofy.
