Walk on the Wildside

Join Regional San and its partners for the 27th annual Walk on the Wildside. This family event includes lively entertainment, up-close views of a variety of wildlife species, and hikes throughout the beautiful Bufferlands.

Highlights of the event include wild animal presentation by Conservation Ambassadors’ Wild Things, folk music by the Side-Wheeler String Band, Hawks Honkers and Hoots Presentation, children’s puppet shows by Pop and Go Puppets, music and movement by Silly Little Mama, guided and self-guided tours of wetlands and riparian forests, wildlife viewing, environmental exhibitors, a kids zone with activities, games, and prizes hosted by local Girl Scouts, and BBQ meal deal.

This event celebrates International Migratory Bird Day and highlights local efforts in protecting and restoring native Central Valley habitats and wildlife. Visitors can enjoy tours of restored wetlands and rookeries on Regional San’s Bufferlands. Get up close and personal with wild animals, listen to some great traditional folk andbluegrass music, enjoy a lunch Meal Deal, and check out lots of conservation exhibits.
