Run like a giraffe at ZooZoom!

There are options for everyone from a 5K run/walk (3.1 miles) to a 10K run (6.2 miles). The 5K run/walk and 10K run will lead participants through beautiful Land Park and finish near the back entrance to the Zoo. There will also be kid’s fun runs (ages 12 and under) with options for a 220 yd.(4 and under), 1/4 mile (age 5-6), 1/2 mile (age 7-9) and 1 mile (age 10-12).

Proceeds from the 2020 ZooZoom will go towards animal care and enrichment. Feeding animals and keeping them occupied can be a difficult and expensive task. In order to keep their minds and skills sharp a variety of enrichments need to be made daily. Enrichments emulate foraging for food and the use of skills that would be necessary in the wild. More than 500 animals call the Sacramento Zoo home; help fill their bellies and minds.
