Sacramento Region Performing Arts Alliance

The Sacramento Region Performing Arts Alliance produces and presents the activities of the Sacramento Opera and the Sacramento Philharmonic. The “parent organizations” will not disappear, but operate in a merged and more effective business model to produce both opera and orchestral concerts. In addition, the organization will offer a variety of community engagement and education initiatives.

As a melded organization, the vision is to be a leader in the field of opera and symphonic music, pioneering new methods of community engagement and developing new models for resilience and adaptability. People’s willingness to attend an arts event are complex, often relating to cost, mobility, accessibility, convenience, cultural relevance, and expected social norms. A vision for the future must address those issues.
