Sacramento Valley Symphonic Band Association

The internationally recognized Sacramento Valley Symphonic Band Association, established in 1983 by Dr. Lester E. Lehr, is open to anyone interested in symphonic band music. Band members are adults of all ages, from twenties to seniors. All are encouraged to join and play. Musicians represent a cross-section of the community–many professions are represented.

The Association provides scholarships for private lessons to needy students, organizes ensembles for community concert needs, sponsors an annual symphonic band festival in Carmichael, provides money to support community concert needs, sponsors an annual youth solo artist scholarship.
