STRANDEDartists is an innovative organization in Sacramento, California, with the primary mission to facilitate exchanges between artists in order to create dance based contemporary works

Founded in 2013, STRANDEDartists movement projects is a Sacramento-based contemporary dance company dedicated to interdisciplinary collaborations, providing unique opportunities for dancers, and provoking the minds of local and international audiences. STRANDEDartists quickly received attention from the dance community, and was the recipient of the 2013 sjDANCEco's director award, for director Leah Marie Bueno's choreography Consume, Create, Adapt.

By seeking collaborations, artists can continue to be challenged, stimulated, and gain opportunities that would not otherwise be available to them in the Sacramento area. This helps to keep world class artists working within their own community.  Many collaborating artists are also active teachers whose goal is to help further develop arts education in Sacramento.  It is our ultimate goal to create thought provoking work that helps to promote a healthy artistic climate for the community as a whole.
