The True North Project

The True North Project’s mission is to empower and inspire emancipating foster youth to achieve their fullest potential by providing long-term, sustainable connections to community allies and local programs. The issue is that, in Sacramento County, more than 300 foster youth age out of the foster care system. These youth are completely unprepared for adulthood, not given the support they need, and left alone to deal with life’s challenges. The solution is that everyone can do better for these youth.

The True North Project offers solutions for these youth including providing community connections, opening doors at a transitioning youth center, and offering real-life support like employment training, housing, and legal assistance. The True North Project guides emancipated foster youth toward brighter futures.
