Elizabeth Burnside

Elizabeth Burnside's family was not typical: Raised by her artist/philosopher mother and geologist father, Elizabeth grew up around painters, writers, musicians and scientists. This artistic upbringing has had a lasting impact on her life. Though she studied economics in college, she never strayed far from her artistic side. Elizabeth learned to paint, sketch, make enamel jewelry-making and ceramic sculptures.

Recently, she began to teach herself graphic arts as it allows her to explore the freedoms that traditional painting doesn't have. I look forward to meeting more of Sacramento's creative community.
