I am a high school teacher and the event coordinator for our 2nd Annual Culture and Connectedness Summit and I am inviting you to come and present your talents to our students. Many are interested in becoming MUAs, yet they have not been exposed to the artistry of theatrical makeup. The LGA Summit will bring together students, staff, faculty, parents, mental health experts, and business professionals to form a network, build community, foster a holistic learning environment, and highlight the importance of education.
• The LGA Summit will cover topics geared toward educating students about diversity, equity, and inclusion; improving students’ mental health; and exposing students to potential college and career opportunities.
• The summit’s objectives include learning to respect the cultures and lifestyles of others, recognizing and coping with mental health issues, learning about colleges and technical schools, and exploring various trades and careers from professionals.
