River City Rowing Club invites adults with no rowing experience to join a Learn to Row class and experience this engaging sport! This class introduces the fundamentals of rowing in an 8-person rowing shell, focusing on the technique and execution of the sweep rowing stroke, rowing commands, boat handling, and the intricacies of crew dynamics. Attendance: Attendance at the first practice is mandatory. Due to the dramatic learning curve, participants should register for the session in which they will be able to attend all of the practices.
Program Progression: Keep rowing year-round with the Novice Masters Team! After taking one ALTR, new rowers can join the annual RCRC Novice Masters Team. Continue to advance your rowing technique and improve your fitness.
