Art History: Family Ties (Mothers and Daughters)

Examine the role of family ties portrayed in the groundbreaking work of the Saar and Velarde/Hardin families, particularly the matriarchs, who each played a seminal role in the work of their descendants. Instructor Laurie Seban is a Northern California native with a mEaster’s in art history from the University of California, Davis, specializing in non-Western and modern art. She currently teaches Native American art at California State University, Sacramento.
