Living History: Railroad Lantern Craft and Hand Signal Demo

In May, for the 150th anniversary of the completion of the Transcontinental Railroad, museum guests are invited to make their own railroad lanterns and learn about the various hand signals -- many still used by railroad workers -- to send important messages to communicate on the railroad, often during challenging conditions.
