American River Parkway Spring Clean-Up

Spring Clean-Up is back!

Tell your friends and assemble your coworkers. Whatever site you choose to attend, you will be working with like-minded individuals with a common goal of cleaning the Parkway.

There are eight sites to choose from, some for all ages and some limited to volunteers over 18 where you will focus on cleaning up abandoned encampments:

Discovery Park
Northgate*
Cal Expo*
Howe Avenue*
Watt Avenue
River Bend Park
Upper Sunrise
Gold Country Blvd

*Northgate, Cal Expo, and Howe Avenue are 18+ only locations.

Spring Clean-Up is the second-largest annual clean-up and helps remove more than 10,000 pounds of trash from the Parkway. This is an opportunity for the entire family to make an impact on the community together and a great way to earn community service hours.

Spring Clean-Up is weather and water level dependent and will only be held if conditions are safe for volunteers. If the event is cancelled, those that have registered will be notified at least 24 hours in advance.
