Martin Luther King Jr. Jazz Festival

Sacramento musical luminaries​ will perform during the Martin Luther King Jr. Jazz Festival, include the co-creator/producer of the concert, Harley White Jr ​and his ​Orchestra, and nationally-known musicians from Sacramento including​ saxophonist Garrett Perkins and guitarist Ross Hammond.

This concert is ​celebrating ​Dr. ​Martin Luther King’s ​commitment to social justice through jazz and sacred songs​ with area jazz, gospel, and blues musicians.

The featured evening guest will be legendary singer Dorothy Morrison. Morrison is the co-author and the memorable alto voice of the 1969 # 1 gospel/pop cross-over hit​, “O Happy Day.” She will be accompanied by The Harley White Jr. Orchestra.

H​arley ​White ​J​r. ​O​rchestra​ will perform “Cristo Redentor,” “The Shepherd,” “Come Sunday,” and “Lament for Charleston.”
